Vinay Perneti is an Engineering Director at Augment Code, an AI coding assistant focused on solving problems for software engineers working on complex problems. Previously, he led Meta’s Observability Platforms, which are critical for ensuring the reliability and performance of Meta’s vast infrastructure. He supported the development and maintenance of Meta’s observability stack, including ODS, Scuba, Logarithm, and Artillery. Prior to Meta, Vinay served as an Engineering Director at Pure Storage, where he spent 8 years helping scale FlashArray and FlashBlade products into highly scalable, fault-tolerant storage systems. His leadership philosophy, shaped by experience at companies like Meta and Pure Storage, centers on creating environments where individuals and teams do their best work.
