The cost of running applications in the cloud is astronomical, and it’s only going to get more expensive given the growing number of organizations that have started running and training AI models. Did you know that, on the average, companies spend on cloud computing almost three times what they should? Why? The answer is overprovisioning of expensive resources and equates to throwing money down the drain.

The solution is simple: automation.

In this session, I will:
Explain why organizations spend on average 3x more than they should on cloud resources - the vast majority of cost waste is the result of CPUs and memory that are provisioned but not utilized
Highlight the negative impact that has on organizations
Explain how it can be avoided via automation - Monitoring and recommendations are not enough. It’s impossible for a human to optimize their cloud infrastructure in real-time. Automation is necessary and automation is cool.
Showcase a couple of examples of companies that have automated cloud resourcing and the benefits they’ve received.

The principles-based approaches provide a strong foundation for navigating the complexities of AI development and implementation. As AI technology continues to evolve, these frameworks can be revisited and refined to address new challenges. By focusing on core ethical principles, they ensure that AI development remains responsible and human-centric.
